What are conversation classes?
They are a useful addition to regular language classes. The basic idea is that students develop and improve their foreign language skills by talking to native speakers. In this way, the language barrier can be broken down through a relaxed atmosphere with colleagues and exchange students. Conversation classes are small in scale (maximum of 12 participants per group) and are organised by the Language Centre of the University of St.Gallen.
What languages are available?
The languages available are planned each semester and are dependent on whether exchange students are available from corresponding linguistic areas. The following languages are available:
- Chinese
- English
- French
- Russian
- Spanish
- Italian
- Swiss German
- German
- Japanese
- Portuguese
-
Arabic
Who can participate?
All students of the University of St.Gallen are welcome to subscribe to the conversation classes. Only one entry for a conversation group per language is allowed, but you can sign up for multiple languages.
